This wing chair has been re-upholstered in mushroom-colored linen and drop-cloth fabric. I changed the design a little by eliminating the original pillow-back and going with a simple, traditional back. Monogrammed in a lower case “d” (for my last name because it’s staying with me!) I wanted it to stand out and be the focal point. Embroidering it onto the fabric was a first for me and I really like how it turned out. Adding character and a personal touch like this is always beautiful; but even more meaningful if you are lucky enough to have pieces that were your mother’s or grandmother’s. A classic design, the wing chair is always worth the extra time and patience that it requires.
