This hoosier cabinet had been tucked away in a storage room collecting dust. With its dated golden oak finish and old laminate top, it was in need of some TLC. Going for a more rustic, restoration hardware-type look, it has been refinished in multiple coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (country grey) and dark wax. Sanding in between coats was key to producing a smooth finish. The natural graininess of the oak absorbs the paint and wax in random areas adding to the rustic look.
