“Restoration Hardware” Hoosier Cabinet

This hoosier cabinet had been tucked away in a storage room collecting dust. With its dated golden oak finish and old laminate top, it was in need of some TLC. Going for a more rustic, restoration hardware-type look, it has been refinished in multiple coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (country grey) and dark wax. Sanding in between coats was key to producing a smooth finish. The natural graininess of the oak absorbs the paint and wax in random areas adding to the rustic look.

And here it is all finished complete with antique gold hardware and new Cambria quartz top:
